About DealCatcher
In July 1999, the internet was a different place. Online stores were throwing everything at the wall to get people to shop: free shipping on everything, buy one get three free offers, mystery freebies stuffed in every box. If you knew where to look, you could find promotions that seem almost unbelievable now.
Dan Baxter was one of the people who knew where to look. He was already forwarding deals to friends and family, and eventually he wanted a better way to share what he found. So he and his friend Tim Patton built DealCatcher from Dan's bedroom. No funding, no business plan. Just a website that collected the best deals they could find and put them in one place.
That was 26 years ago. The freebies dried up. The internet changed a hundred times over. DealCatcher is still here, still run by real people, still doing the same job: finding deals worth your time and putting them where you can actually use them.

Every deal you see has been found, reviewed, and posted by real people who care about whether it is actually worth your time.
We find the deals
Our staff hunts deals daily across 1,500 carefully chosen stores. These are stores people actually shop at, not every merchant with an affiliate program. Brands and merchants also submit offers to us directly, and community members flag deals they have spotted in the wild. The goal is coverage without clutter.
We check every one
Every deal is reviewed by a real person before it goes live. Staff verify the price, confirm the coupon code works when there is one, and write clear instructions so you know exactly how to get the discount. Some are straightforward. Others take a few steps. Either way, you will know what to do before you click. Whether or not we earn a commission has no bearing on whether a deal gets posted.
Our AI score adds another layer
We built an internal scoring system on top of Google Gemini, trained on years of deal data. It evaluates discount strength, product value, and overall worth so you can quickly see which deals stand out. The AI supports the team's work, but human review still decides what gets posted and what does not.
We move fast because deals do not last long
Over 400 deals and 200 coupons go up every day. Most last two to three days. Some disappear in under 24 hours. When a deal expires or stops working, we pull it. Users can flag problems too, and the team checks them quickly. Stale deals help nobody.

Dan Baxter
CEO and Founder
Dan started DealCatcher in 1999 after realizing that forwarding deals to friends and family one email at a time was not going to scale. He built the first version of the site with Tim Patton and has been hands-on ever since. Twenty-six years later, he is still closely involved in the product, the direction of the site, and the deals themselves.
Kevin Kahn
COO
Kevin joined DealCatcher in 2000, just a year after it launched. He has a computer science degree from the University of Delaware and has spent over two decades shaping how the site works for shoppers. He runs operations, product development, marketing, and the major initiatives that keep the site moving forward.
Rob Del Colle
Senior Deal Editor
Rob joined in 2020 and oversees the deals and coupons that go live on the site every day. He runs DealCatcher's Savings Squad Facebook community and helps manage merchant relationships and daily deal quality. If a deal makes it onto the site, there is a good chance Rob reviewed it.
